Chicago Day 2

Today, John actually had to work so I was left to my own devices.

Breakfast at The Protein Bar.  Something healthy to try to offset all the insane stuff I've been/will be eating.  Nice try.

Meg and John were able to meet me for lunch at one of Chicago's famous deep dish pizzeria's, Lou Malnati's.  After everyone had to go back to their respective conferences, I wandered around Magnificent Mile for a bit to check out some of the posh stores.  Meh…I wasn't feeling it, and walked back to the hotel without buying a thing.

After work let out, John and I checked out Three Dots and a Dash, a very cool tiki bar.  The entrance was in an alley behind a restaurant, and then as you descend underground, a wall of skulls sets the mood.

I ordered Bunny's Banana Daiquiri, and John ordered The Three Dots house specialty.

They made a dolphin out of a banana, a clove for the eye, and a pineapple leave for the fin.
This was very strong

Later on, we went to Metro to meet up with Meg and see one of my favorite bands, White Lies.

Have a listen:
