John had a work conference to attend, and since I've never been to Chicago, I decided to tag along! The event took place at the
Palomar (a Kimpton Hotel), and so John's company put us up there.
After checking in, the first thing we did was seek out
The Chicago Diner. I got the Monte Cristo sandwich and the cookie dough peanut butter shake. John, of course, had to have the vegan buffalo wings.
Later, we explored Logan Square.
We met up with Meg, also in town for business, at one of the top restaurants
The Girl and The Goat. Everything was so delicious, especially the peanut butter jelly ice cream donut dessert.
